Praia de Maragogi

One of the most popular destinations in Brazil, Maragogi is known for its warm clear waters throughout the year, ensuring a stunning scenery and a pleasant tour to all visitors, being known as Brazil’s Caribbean. 

The city of Maragogi is located exactly halfway between the capitals of Maceió and Recife, about 125 km away from these urban centers, and is served by two airports, the International Airport of Palmares, in Maceió, and the Guararapes International Airport, in Recife.

Along the 22km coastline of the city of Maragogi, there are nine main beaches, each one with its own particular features: São Bento Beach, Camacho Beach, Maragogi Beach, Barra Grande Beach, Burgalhau Beach, Antunes Beach, Dourado Beach, Ponta de Mangue Beach and Peroba Beach.

Maragogi Beach, where the main tourist developments in the area are concentrated, is the closest to the city’s downtown. Full of bars, restaurants and a crafts fair, that’s where you can enjoy a slightly more urban environment, even with all the calm atmosphere and natural beauty that a beach in the heart of Costa dos Corais can provide.

Here at Salinas do Maragogi, you can take a shuttle departing directly from the resort to the urban area in Maragogi, where you can indulge yourself with the famous “bolinhos de goma” (a kind of cookie) and enjoy all the great hospitality shown by the local people.
